I have been testing this program, and I like it, but I am comparing to
typing recipes into a Word file. I like the mutiple print formats, and the feature of adding pictures/scans. I don't really want recipes, but want a place to store my own. Is there any that is more flexible/easier for imput or import? I feel this is just a little clunky. Thanks! |

I admire people who have the ambition to put all their recipes into one place or format, but have to admit my practice is just the opposite. I like searching through the cookbooks and the recipe drawer full of miscellaneous scraps of paper and clippings to find some recipe. Now and then serendipity operates to let me notice something else that triggers a later meal. For capturing recipes from the group or the web, I just copy and paste into Notepad and save under mydocuments/food/ with a name that lets me find it again. No muss, no fuss. -aem |

Shop'NCook (http://www.shopncook.com) is very smart for importing recipes directly from text files. It will import all your recipes at once with a minimum of formatting and in a mostly automated way.
