any comments on the blender/food processor are appreciated--i am
thinking of buying one but am conserned about the noise--my blenders
make intolerable noise and am ready to throw them out --or give them
away ( which is what i will do!!) for a quiet one

I've never heard (sorry) of a quiet blender or food processor. A couple
of times when I've needed to use these appliances for an extended
period, I actually used ear plugs. I've noticed that some bars and
restaurants that have their blenders out in the customer areas keep them
in little enclosures to quell the racket, kind of like the boxes they
used to put computer printers in back in the olden days to muffle the
loud and annoying noise they made.
