It's had a hard childhood, whatever it is or will be.

One of teh rescues of 25-30 seedlings from the middle of South
Congress Ave that probably fell iff of somebody's car roof. It
spent 3.5 days forgotten about and rolling around in my backpack -
dirt everywhere. 3 days on my shower window sill with maybe 2 sq in.
of soil and still not dead. Transferred into "cactus dirt" and left
on the side of the house while it rained for 5 weeks figuring the
deer would have eaten it down to a nub 5 weeks ago like all my other
potted gardening attempts in the past.

I realized on Wednesday that it had 6 flowers, 3 tiny peppers
forming, and 12-15 spots where flowers have already bloomed and also
turning to fruit. Huh. Runted, but will bear at least 3 fruits.
Not sure it has enough foilage to support much more than that.

So I whipped this "cage" together in less than 5 minutes flat using
fine chicken wire, 5 landscaping tie nails, and a fan blade cover.
Just as I sat back in the lawn a chair to admire my handsome
creation and ponder its fruitations, 2 doe and an 18" fawn come
screaming around the corner from the back of house and bowled it
over. Those ****ers. So 3 of the nails now go through chicken
wire footings and two bread bag twist ties now secure the fan blade
cover to the chicken wire.

Still don't have a clue WTF it is, but if it fruits into something
edible (and probably spicy) my whole purpose in life will have
become apparent and I will die content with that knowledge. OTOH,
if it's those body snatcher pods I'm gonna feel pretty stupid and
gullible.

ObFood: Pesto and Pepperoni Pizza Burger for lunch. Sink is still
clogged harder than last night. Now praying for a new and different
sign from God than that bullshit deal I got handed down yesterday.
