I'm going to YELL! I'm going to SCREAM! I got my second *FREE*
Covid-19 VACCINE! (lol)

They gave me a button:

https://i.postimg.cc/tg8Jx81r/covid-vac.jpg

FYI, so far I'm not feeling any ill effects from the 2nd vaccine. The
nurse told me to help alleviate the sore arm, exercise the arm. I've
been flapping it occasionally like I'm doing a one sided chicken dance
(LOL) since I got home. So far my arm doesn't hurt. I'm experiencing
no other negative symptoms, either.

OB Food: I'm thinking breakfast for dinner. I have leftover already
roasted/smashed small yellow (Baby Dutch) potatoes I can reheat in the
skillet to crisp a bit more in lieu of hash browns. Rather than bacon,
I'm thinking cooking a few from raw small Johnsonville link breakfast
sausages. Add a couple of scrambled eggs, possibly with a bit of grated
cheese, perhaps Asiago, and that's dinner. :)

Congratulations. Despite the severity of this third wave we are seeing
some light at the end of the tunnel. Just think, it was only about 13
months ago we thought a couple months of lock down and everything would
be peachy keen again.

My right shoulder was sore so I asked for the shot in my right arm. I
figured it would be better to have one arm that might be a little sorer
than to have to sore arms. The day after the shot my arm was tender.
Some of that went away but I my shoulder is worse now than it had been.

We had supper for supper,... baked chicken legs, rice, steamed green
beans and a salad. I normally like green beans, but these beans had a
funky taste to them,

generally about day 4 for the 2nd shot. My arm got hot and slightly
swollen and hard about a 3 inch diameter at the injection site. It
was extremely itchy, I wanted to claw at it. I took some
acetaminophen and went to bed. The next morning everything was back
to normal.'

I had the Phizer and I didn't have any of that.

After the fist shot, about 5 minutes in I got lightheaded for a
couple seconds but it passed. After the second shot, being the Man
that I am, I didn't wait more then a couple minutes before I burned
off to the back of the store to look at TV's (Walmart). I got
almost back there and to take a knee for a couple seconds, thought I
was gonna ralph and/or pass out. But that only lasted a 4-5 seconds
adn I was up again with no lingering effects.

The arm didn't hurt any more than any other shot in the arm. Sore
the next morning - just like with rabies vaccines a few weeks/months
earlier, but that was short-lived too.

Perhaps _you_ do, dimmy.

Ophelia is in Scotland, as am I - no cards were provided when we had our

My wife had her vaccination at one location and got a sticker. I had had
mine two days earlier at another location and for a lapel button.

Americans don't necessarily have a doctor. I was assigned one
by my insurance a couple of years ago, but I've never seen him.
I was just about to find a different one (closer to my home), but
then COVID hit so I hunkered down.

Seriously, the latest fake news here anyways is arguing about if bars /

leaders, &c".

The "proofs" I've seen look like flimsy paper.

Someone said badges, and I thought "Why not body cameras for everyone?"
That way, you would have the kid sticking his finger in his nose and then

I suppose you could ask your Doc or Nurse if they can give you

I am sure if you explain why you need it, they might be able to help!

Somebody was recently busted at a nearby border crossing for presenting
a phony negative Covid19 test result. Consider all those people walking
into stores and restaurants with their dogs and phony service dog
certificates. You send away for them, regular $199.95 but always on sale
for $149.95. The kit comes with a vest, an ID tag, a Service Dog patch
and a certificate. You can bet that if they come out with some sort of
certificate there will be forgeries.

You can bet your bottom dollar that there will be people who will resent
being asked to show it, just as there are people who refuse to wear
masks. Then there is the possibility of forgeries. If it is just some
some or certificate that is emailed to you there will be be people
making forgeries for themselves and their friends. There was recently
someone busted at a Niagara border crossing with a forged Covid19
negative test result.

Look at all the people who take their dogs into stores and
restaurants and claim their are service animals. There are plenty of
sites online where you send them money and they send you the kit,
complete with special vest, ID tag, Service Dog patch and a
certificate. No training needed.

Personally, I like the idea of people having to have been vaccinated to
go into places. I do not want to be in a space with people who refused.
We have been through a year of lock downs and restrictions. I have not
been able to go to the gym for over a year. Our kayaking club had to
suspend activities last year. I can't go and see my doctor in person. I
want this to be over with.

Would be more reliable if they put a "V" tattoo on your forehead. You
could easily see who to avoid and who you can talk to.

Being in rehab I missed my second Phizer vaccine appointment, however
fortunately the rehab arranged for my second vaccine at the rehab, a
Walgreen tech arrived to give me the shot. I experienced no side
effects. Walgreens gave me a card for each shot.
This is the Rehab Center:
https://greenemeadows.com/
Not a bad facility, I received good care... just can't recommend the
food, most was inedible. I didn't have much appetite anyway so only
ate about half the items they served... the coffee was disgusting,
weak and arrived cold. They served a lot of turkey patties, not
something I would eat. I pretty much lived on French toast and cole
slaw (not bad). The beverage with each meal was Kool Aid. Veggies
were canned; green beans or niblets. I was able to ask for cottage
cheese with a side of canned fruit (pineapple chunks and manderin
oranges. We were weighed every day, I dropped ten pounds there.
My main complaint was that it was very noisy, everyone had their TV on
different stations and very loud... I kept my door closed.

We got little 3/4" square stickers. So people with the virus can get
right up into your face just to read what your sticker says.

We got red/white/blue V lapel pins, presumably for Vaccine. It was
timely to wear as we got it to wear immediately after the national
election. V for Victory ;)

I had pretty bad food when I was in the hospital last August, and I
missed a lot of meals. The first day I arrived there around 4 pm was
checked out in the ER and was admitted, but no bed available in cardiac
ward so I stayed in the ER. Being admitted so late, I missed supper.
Due to a procedure they were going to do I missed breakfast and lunch.
They moved me up to cardiac ICU around 4 pm and when dinners came there
was none for me. The nurse found me some sandwiches.

Meals were typically a tiny portion of meat and a pile of vegetables.
One day it was broccoli and cauliflower and another day it was a big
pile of corn. Breakfast was a small scoop of dry industrial scrambled
eggs and one piece of dry, cold toast. They would give me a cup of
juice and a cup of tepid water with a teabag or instant coffee. The
water was so far from hot that you could leave the bag in it for 5
minutes and it barely changed the colour of the water.

I missed a few more meals because they were hoping to something that
involved knocking me out. It got to the point that I didn't mind
missing meals because they were so small and so horrible I was not
missing much. Between the lack of food, the missed meals and being
pumped full od diuretics, I dropped more than 20 pounds over the 6 days
I was there.

> My main complaint was that it was very noisy, everyone had their TV on

My room was pretty quiet. I had a nice big room to myself. It was
strange. I had had a Covid test three days before I went to the hospital
and the day before I went i got the results... negative. They still put
me into isolation because I had had symptoms that led to me getting the
test.

Noise was more of a problem when I had been in ICU after bypass surgery.
The nurses used to hang out in the hall in front of my room at shift
change. The food was much better there but the place was dismal and in
spite of being heavily medicated I hardly slept a wink in 11 days.

Yes, I had my second dose nearly two weeks ago.
A note from a busy doctor is possible, but something official would be
better.

It's odd, that attitude.
I still have one of those yellow vaccination cards, with records of my
smallpox, polio, typhoid, paratyphoid and typhus inoculations. There was
a time when those cards were required for entry into the US.

Hmm. Might be a good idea to do that tattoo in the kind of ink which
only shows up under UV light. Particularly useful when clubbing.

No, its starts with the Roman numeral "I" - for Immunized. Then as
the years go by and we require more shots they add more I's, V's,
and X's and eventually L's to the left or right of the original "I"
indicate how many times you've been immunized. Some I's will be
turned into V's and X's so we don't fill up our foreheads.

And they're all color coded to indicate the decade and to which
strain(s) of which viruses they apply.

Dave, here in Quebec, some people rented their dogs out to neighbourhood
locals to go for doobies and poopies after curfew. They tightened the
noose on that loophole to 1 km of your address.

Gosh. I hate to break it you, but it will never go back to the way it
was. The plastic barriers, rubber gloves, masks, &c will be tweaked, but
you'll be distracted by new variants and fake news of 'Maybe' medicines
and *lots* of anecdotal evidence for all sorts of things.

40+ years ago I had a long stay and found the food to be excellent. 20
years later, for another but shorter stay, there had been a marked
deterioration in quality. Our Con govt had got rid of the in-house cooks
and contracted out to CANA, the airline food makers.
