We kept bottles of whisky locked up for visits from the chairman or COO
of the company. They were both alcoholics and would hit the booze when
we paused for the morning coffee break.
After a managers' meeting in the UK head office, we all went out to
dinner. The chairman arrived late as he had been at some government
committee meeting in London. He apologised for being late but said that
after the committee meeting, they had all been invited to tea with the
Queen. It didn't happen, it was all in his befuddled, alcoholic imagination.

Lol, I can't imagine drinking enough to think I had tea with the Queen,
even though I have two! Maybe he was suffering from Korsakoff and
filled in gaps in his memory with random stuff.
