Back in 1972, I worked in a furniture store. One of the old salesmen came in one morning with an old wind-up alarm clock that he had purchased from Sears 13 years before. It had quit working so he was going to the nearby Sears store at lunchtime to return it and complain. We all laughed. Sure enough though, he came back after lunch with a brand new free replacement. |
