About 10 years ago I converted from an electric flat top stove to a gas range. Love the quick response and instant temperature adjustment of gas over an electric range. I really appreciated that gas range March 2020 when the tornado tore through Nashville. At least fresh vegetables and canned goods could be cooked; that would have been impossible with an electric stove since there was no electricity for 5 days. |

A gas stove. Not that he actually cooks anything other than that VSTD palaver, but still. He ripped out a perfectly good gas stove, had the pipe capped off and the meter turned off. He converted everything to electric. He's talking about being charged for the Gas Meter connection. I don't think he understands he's now being charged for the Electric Meter connection. I wonder if he ever looks at his electric bill? Electricity isn't free. And gee, it comes from Fossil Fuels. He's an amazing hypocrite. Jill |

Yes, an absolute fool. Cooking on gas is a thousand times better than any electric alternative. > He converted everything to electric. >He's talking about being charged for the Gas Meter connection. I'm not even 100% sure he is sincere in his concern for the environment, his priority appears to more towards self-aggrandizement and showing off to other people. |

I just got my new electric bill and I itemized it all. (just curious) Basic charge per month...just connection fees and taxes was $20. You pay that each month regardless of how much power you use. Then is the actual charge for electricity used. My bill was for $30.09. So, my actual fee for electricity used was only about $10 last month. It's nuclear generated. For $10 a month or a bit mo - refridgerator running 24/7 - tv on most of the day - desktop computer on 24/7 - answering machine on 24/7 - small fan running 24/7 - Kitchen and bedroom lights 24/7 Those are the constant uses. Add the occasional lights that go on and off, microwave, furnace fan when heat is on, laptop computers on, etc etc. Bottom line - no complaints about my electic bills. |
