It's not about you. It's about the millions of people out there who
had no option but to buy masks that were more needed on the faces
of doctors and nurses.

How many millions of masks did your wife want to make?

How many millions of people did The Fauch mislead? He´s a bureaucrat with a
MD from fifty years ago. Saying that no masks were necessary, forget N95, he
did a national disservice.
Or did he? Only researchers know the partial answer now, and they ain´t
saying. Or are they? Let´s get some percentages for mask/no mask
transmission.
Current CDC guidance is a reason to disbelieve "scientists". They don´t
know sh*t. I thought they would by now.
Having said that, I do what I believe is best practice for any airborne
pathogen, and that´s all they got too.
I could have told you their current guidance on March 11, 2020, but you
wouldn´t have listened.

What is particularly appalling was Fauci post election. Incredibly
unprofessional and divisive. The man is supposed to show impartiality
and be above politics and simply do his job as director of the U.S.

Fauci, as a prominent public figure seems to think he is special in
'needing' armed security. And naturally, it's Trump's fault. He did
similar with previous Republican administrations (but SILENT during
democrat admins). This is the guy advising the authorities and public
on Covid. He should be replaced, forthwith.

Sure, even though there were death threats he does not deserve security.

Rand Paul made a fool of himself questioning Fauci today.

America is swarming with Trumpeters going wild. Death fatwas will be trending in the new, radicalized, America. An America of tranquility and harmony has been rendered extinct. Hope all y'alls enjoy it!

Why? Rand Paul has a far more current MD degree than Fauci does.

He was going on about masks and studies. He would not let Fauci finish
his reasoning about the variants and how they are still possibly
contagious in spite of having antibodies.

Fauci came across as s sensible scientist using reason to draw
conclusions.

Paul came across as a know it all bully that kept interrupting, talking
over and not letting the other side make a statement.

I did not see him as a doctor, just a loud mouth politician. If you
want to investigate, listen to the people you are questioning, that is
why you brought them.

What public figure doesn't get death threats. Wake up. And why do you
feel he doesn't deserve security?

I guess you don't understand sarcasm. You were the one questioning the
need for security;

The relevance is your disdain for Fauci when he came across far more
knowledgeable than Paul that came across as a bully.I trust hem much
more than some of the other "experts" dredged up by Trump.

I don't care for either's personality but Rand Paul seems to know a

I always figured there was a strong reason that the neighbor
apparently beat the crap out of RP. RP's a bully and uses bully
tactics. I haven't ever heard him use reason to support his view.
Today was an example.

Wearing the paper disposables and cloth washables only give a false
sense of security, they do little to nothing for preventing the
transmission of viruses and other germs, particulates, and gasses. I
worked in dirty dusty fume filled manufacturing plants for most of my
life and always wore a proper respirator fitted with the proper
filters. Now I wear a disposable paper mask when I'm around other
people (which is rare) to stop any harrassment from the imbeciles but
I know for a scientific fact that it does little to nothing to prevent
transmission. Surgeons can wear N95 masks because the OR maintains a
negative atmosphere, the air is constantly vacuumed out and replaced
with properly filtered air... they are working in clean room
conditions same as I did all my working life, especially when working
with radioactive materials in what Brookhaven National Laboratory
called the 'hotshop'. We were all suited up in Hazmat gear. Viruses
can and do transmit through skin and especially eyes. The OR workers
wear paper masks same as they wear surgical gloves, and they are
properly clothed, to protect from splashing bodily fluids, blood, and
guts is all. they're all suited up to protect their skin. I can tell
from listening to the doctors on TV, NONE had any formal training in
protective gear. They shouldn't be pushing fake-news masks to the
unsuspecting public... may as well be a Halloween party. Feel free to
go on line and search <respirator>.

When people ask that question in this particular context, it's an
indicator that they're a simpleton, Graham. Thus, you're a simpleton.

Yes, he does. He has a degree from Fox News.

It's good to see all these right wingers whining, bitching and
complaining, knowing that their ring leader has been FIRED.

Thanks, Greg. My company closed its doors in Nevada. We were an outlier for
Alberto Culver, and I was given the opportunity to move to Melrose Park. I
declined so that I could continue working where I still live. No offense ;-)

Bruce has probably never watched Fox, anyway. So he wouldn't know.

Deal, provided you never mention "critical thinking" anymore when
you're referring to yourself. Or did you think I have an endless
supply of irony meters?

Don't say that. You admitted that you only watched Fox News one time.
You know nothing about that news channel.

But I'm a Liberal. I don't need to have direct, personal knowledge of
something to judge it.

We lasted an hour. They were lying through their teeth, to the point
that they must have known it themselves. It was nothing but a Trump
propaganda machine, with no interest in the truth at all.

It reminded me a bit of the English The Sun newspaper. When the UK and
the EU had a conflict about who could fish where, they headlined
"Boris, get the warships ready!"

Me too with many years post-graduate experience.
The reason I asked was that far too many believe what appears in the
newspapers where the standard of science reporting is appalling.
