Default I began the DIRT MAKING PROCESS!

Got ALL the compost up from in back, and out to the two Front Garden beds!

No neighbors, we don't have a compost pile in back, I moved it UP FRONT! :-)

An obscure, archaic meaning for the phrase, but Mother Gaia
probably hates him a little less today. I turned my composter
today. Now that it's warming up, those potatoes should break
down quickly.

I'm thinking agriculture these days. I just ordered some
tomato seeds.
Aussie - Organic Heirloom Tomato Seeds
Buffalo Heart Giant - Heirloom Tomato Seeds
Black Ethiopian - Organic Heirloom Tomato Seeds
Blue Berries - Organic Tomato Seeds

I'm going to plant one of the Blue Berries in proximity to
some White Currant tomatoes, then save seeds from the blue
ones.

I do nothing disturb the process of decomposition, except in the gal inside composting bucket, which when full like it was this morning, so I emptied it! I have a 30gal plastic trash can outback all drilled with 1/2" ventilation holes, that I made at 3061 Kingsbury. Lid is solid, no rain gets in, but worms come out the 1/2" holes every Summer! Birds eat them! :-)

I bought a postage sized piece of this US back from China and fixed it up pretty nice! Certainly water tight with it;s newly restored 100 year red clay tile roof! :-)

Nope, that was Old World Roofing's price and they did an excellent job! I now basically have a NEW 100 year old roof, except for the original red clay tiles they chose to retain! Less than 1/2 BTW!

They re-used some of the original tiles. How does that qualify for
"replaced" as opposed to restored?

Old World Roofing techs inspected every tile used new and old and determined usability and durability of each and every tile used.

I have to think of it in comparison to my roof. I had a new roof a few
years back and then I had a huge branch fall on the roof, punching a
couple holes in the roof and ripping off a l of soffit, fascia and
eavestroughing. Two of the three sections of roof were unaffected but
the insurance company replaced everything. The total bill was a little
more than $24,000. That is a lot more roof than John's house. They used
40 year shingles, which is probably more life than John's old clay tiles
have left in them, new fascia, soffits, eavestrough and gutter guards
and and all thatless than 1/4 the price of John's farmer fix.

Nobody agrees that it was a sensible choice, John. Except you.
Especially considering you're now basically broke. Nobody could care
less about your roof, John. It impresses nobody. It was a complete
waste of money. The end.

He said they kept less than half of the original tiles.Â* I find that
hard to believe since new tiles look very different than very old
tiles.Â* A new roof, of all new tiles, would have cost a fraction of the
price and the results would be the same.

No. The Roof protects the house! I have seen houses with decaying roofs and as the rain and Weather forces fall in the inside of the house is destroyed! Entropy is vastly accelerated!

John, could you please split that sentence into two or more?

As is, I cannot parse it. I cannot even tell if 'fall' is a verb or a
synonym for 'autumn'.

Please don't encourage him to become a self-published author. He is
already enough of a self-published know it not.

Oh come on, even I, a non native English speaker, understand it. Let
me help you a bit: fall is a verb. Another hint: add a comma after
'in'. Please report back how you went.

And I got my rake and evened out the compost as a Bel Nor Police car came down the street, and I smiled and gave him the peace sign! :-)

I smile and give everyone a peace sign when driving in my neighborhood my 100% Leaf, and some give then back too! :-)

I remember a picture of that creek. A person who drank a lot of beer
can create that.

Read your post again.Â* It made zero sense.Â* You have seen your own house
fall into disrepair from leaking water but you opted for some redneck
fix first and then blew your wad on a ripoff job.Â* They didn't even use
the best underlayment.Â* You got the cheaper stuff for your "100 year"
roof.Â* BTW- tiles are decorative and shield the underlayment from the
sun.Â* The underlayment keeps your house water tight.

Did you give your house the peace sign before, or after, you hit it with
your "100% Leaf"?

Kuthe Creek. It's a creek that only runs after it rains on the downside of my 3-car driveway behind my house towards the Soaking Pad on the ground to the right side when viewed from the rear of my house. One time in 2017 I got out with a shovel IN THE RAIN to dig out a little creek right where the water was draining off my driveway onto a patch of ground back there! And I generally have to redig it every year a little.
