Default Stag Chili, I used to like it

I used to like the dynamite hot Stag Chili. No longer. At one time, I didn't mind the sweetness. Now I do mind the sweetness. Yes, it's hot like a mother. However, there is too much sweet in there as well. I like the heat, but not the sweetness. I never used to notice the sweetness until a few weeks ago.

Stagg chili is shitty and awful.

Oh God, you too? You and Sheldon should take your Oedipal

Oedipus is probably not involved. I'm confident "mother" is a bowdlerization
of "mother****er", which no longer refers to incest--if Samuel L. Jackson is any
indicator.

Every time I make a joke, either you or Mr. Jackson has to screw
it up. This time it was both of you. Hmmmph!

Stag chili turned to shit several years ago. It used to be the
best, but now, any off brand is better if you don't feel like
making your own.

I always disliked it. You mean it's gotten worse? Hormel is almost
inedible. Chilli Man is pretty good, but you need to add some extra
meat.

I have never heard of Dynamite Hot Stag Chili. It's a funny sounding name. I'll look for it at Safeway. I don't mind sweet at all. The Hawaiians love sweet. The favorite chili of Hawaii is Zippy's Chili. It's sweet and it has mayo in it.

Indeed, we are Americans but we tend to use more sugar in our cooking than Americans on the mainland. Why is that? Probably because of the Chinese and Japanese influence in our cooking.

I've never found Chinese or Japanese food particularly sweet.

IMHO there is no such thing as a good canned chili.

I used to make my own chili. I spent hours rendering beef, duck, sage hen,
deer, pork, beef, etc. into chili. I could have probably made rancid seagull
or a couple of dozen tarantula chili taste the same. Cumin and chili powder
does that to meat. I obviously was doing something wrong, yet I still
havent tasted better homemade chili. Well...at least to my mind.
Nowadays, I just open a can of "Stagg Laredo Chili with Beans" and make chili
dogs.

In the southeast are "Food Lion" grocery stores. They sell a vegetarian
chili for hotdog chili. (store brand). Those are good just to eat as a
bowl of chili too. Surprisingly very tasty.

WTF cares about vegetarian chilli with mystery meat dawgs??? Just
proves for the umpteeth time that there is no such thing as a
vegetarian... even cattle eat meat. Cattle don't lie about munching a
few insects on their grass... but ALL humans Lie about everything,
especially about what they eat and don't eat. Every Jew who claims to
keep kosher will occasionally on their high holy days slip into Hung
Fong Gardens to devour House Special Gefilte Shrimp Chow Mein.

A chili dog sounds good. Evidently, a chili dog and a lau lau is a good combo. Who knew?

I had some Wolf brand chili last night. It was okay for canned chili. I'd buy it again. It seemed pretty spicy. I got it because, at $1.99, it was the cheapest can of chili there.

I'm a person that eats and appreciates foods. Mostly, yoose uses foods as a badge to show what a classy, upper class, guy yoose is.

Me? I don't need no stinkin' badges.

I had some Trung Nguyen coffee this morning. Holy smokes - that's some smooth coffee! It's smoother than 100% Kona. You'll like the ingredients: coffee, artificial coffee, artificial flavor. It has some chocolaty, buttery, rum, flavors. I was hooked on the first sip of the stuff.

Actually, I got tons of badges. They're scattered all over the place because I'm not into badges.

I find Wolf brand too sweet and tomatoey, and in need of extra ancho and
cumin powders.

If I make it, it's going to be heavy with garlic and cumin. If I buy it at a restaurant, it'll probably be sweet but I'll still like it.

Carol: Try Food Lion store brand of canned chili sometime. Sold as hot
dog chili. It's small (only maybe 10oz) but it's delicious to eat just
as a bowl of chili. Contains no meat but you wouldn't know it unless you
read the ingredient list.

Also to Carol: I don't think you ever go there but do AVOID the Hilltop
shopping area for the next 6 months at least. Major road construction
going on there. I went up there Wednesday and what a pain it is.

I don't got there regular, but they are on the way home from work for
the rare times I go in (about twice a month now). Will look for it and
thanks!

I do and it's not that terrible. Whole Foods is there so get my flours
(specialty ones for baking) there. Best price in a 50 mile radius for
Einkorn (lower than Amazon too).

I found some Dynamite Hot Stag Chili in the store. I think it must be popular over here because there were only a couple of cans left. I had some last night and found it just dandy. The heat was about right and I don't mind the sweetness at all. I should have bought all the cans that were left. The next time I see it on the shelves, I'm gonna get at least 3 cans.
They should make a Korean version of Stag Chili. Just increase the heat and sweet a little and add hot dogs.
