It's a Joy of Cooking recipe. Not like you created it yourself.

I did not create the recipe, but I'll bet no one else makes it! And I have a big Tupperware container with some of it sitting on my Front Table right now!

It's not an original toffee recipe. He has stated many times it's a JOC
recipe. Anyone with that cookbook could make the toffee.

It doesn't matter. Most, if not all, recipes already existed or are
based on something existing. Make it well, market it well and sell it
well, that's what counts.

I found an alt.job for you, John.
Watched a documentary last week of a company located in St.Louis that
makes and sells candy successfully.

You have the experience to get a job there and you could learn from them
too. Take some of your candy to the interview.

Check it out:

....

it isn't easy work and the people have to pay attention to
details and actually finish the tasks involved and not just
wander away when something shiny and new comes along or they
get interrupted or they talk too much. things which don't
seem to be his strong points.

note, i've made thousands of candies of various kinds and
have relatives in the chocolate/candy making business for
hundreds of years of combined experience.

Whoosh, right over your head. (You consider toffee or chocolate covered
cherries to be "Christmas Candy"?)
