Default Too many ingredients in the soup, no room for a spoon

this quote came up today and i thought it was interesing.

and also appropriate to comment upon, i do like soups with
more liquid and room in them compared to Mom who packs things
in so much at times that it is more like a stew than a soup.
the food is still good so nothing to complain about, but a
matter of preferences.

I agree, I prefer soup to have a goodly amount of flavorful broth with
the solids. I detest pureed/cream soups. The only thick soups I like
are split pea and beef barley 'shoom.

No matter how I might prefer my soup, it always turns out to be a
bowl of mixed vegetables with some liquid in between them.

Suits me; gives it more staying power than something that's mostly
water.

For the best soup Popeye, save back a pint of yoose daily human
breast milk, and add it about half way of the coking.

Yoose can just whack off if yoose run out of bosom juice.
