Default Is Bertolli olive oil fake?

I have heard and read rumors that state that this EVOO is a fake and a scam.
I bought some anyway. Fact or fiction?

That web site is owned by the parent company of Bertolli. Read how that
page is written. Is it objective? Is it marketing?

Take a look at this page:

<https://www.fooddive.com/news/maker-of-bertolli-olive-oil-settles-class-action-lawsuit-for-7m/521140/>

Would they settle the lawsuit if there was nothing to it?

If you like the taste of Bertolli olive oil, buy it.

I'd call it "dissembling"...

For some common folk - like me - Bertolli is fine, for "purists" it might be a no - no...

What does RACHEL RAY use...???

[ I don't use that much, the small bottle I have is Whole Foods "365" brand, and no, I've not read the label for "origin" info...]

Really? You're going with Rachael Ray?

WF 365 olive oil is from California, if I am reliably informed.

I use olive oil once a day, on average, drizzled on bread and/or in a
salad dressing. I'm not a "purist", but I know what I like and that's what I buy.

What I like is Greek olive oil made from koroneiki or kalamata olives. I
usually buy this:

<https://www.amazon.com/Lapas-Organic-Olive-Oil-25-4/dp/B074J82Q17>

I picked up three bottles at Whole Paycheck last week.

Several years ago, I saw that RR made dog food, and I thought, *I wouldn't feed
my dog RR because the dog would get fat, then lose weight, then get fat again,
over and over*, and I don't even have a dog.

Someone here recommended this:
https://www.walmart.com/ip/Terra-Del...fl-oz/47440602
It's delicious, and not even pricey.

One day, you might be getting your olive oil from China.

We should boycott Chinese products. They're cheap so we won't, but we
should.

We want good paying jobs in the US but we don't want to pay the price
for the products they make. Some years ago we started buying tooling
from China. Made in USA: $16,000 and 12 weeks for delivery. Made in
China: $10,000 and 7 weeks for delivery, air freight included. Quality
is equal.

And all the deplorables who wanted to make America great again are the
last ones to spend a bit more and buy American products.

That's a rather violent reaction. It's just some stinkin' olive oil. Sounds like you'd start a war over olive oil. That's so weird.

The Chinese market for olive oil is huge. Ironically, the Chinese don't even like olive oil. I like soybean oil myself. It's even cheaper than Chinese olive oil.

Soybean oil is the crappiest oil. It's even worse than canola.

dsi1 doesn't distinguish between good food and bad food. His

Soybean suits my high temperature cooking style. Olive oil does not. I don't like the smell of corn oil or canola oil. Da bajillons of pakes in China cannot be wrong!

The most popular oil in the USA is Exxon oil.
Ironically, many people hate the rich corporation that provides it.
