we picked up ingredients today for a few variations
including some Monmorency Dried Cherries. i think those will go in with pecans and a few chocolate chips. as i'm dividing up the cherries (not all of them are for us) i snacked on a few and that reminded me so much of why i should get a cherry tree or two of those planted here. strawberries, blueberries and cherries are way up on my favorite nums. anyways, back to macaroons, last time i made them i didn't make them very big, they were good, but i really wanted a few bites more so this time i'm going to make them a bit bigger. the other variation for sure will be butterscotch chips, walnuts and a few chocolate chips. you don't really need a lot of chips in them of either kind but just a few per cookie really changes the whole shebang. songbird |
