The other thing a search brings up is a Facebook page somebody made making fun of him. John is disliked by a lot of people. There's a FB page where I refer to him as He Who Must Not Be Named, and no one has asked. I think some of the regulars just assume because they know from the old days that we used to kayak together. https://www.facebook.com/john.kuthe.39 It'd be funny if it was someone from rfc who made the page. --Bryan |

Hoo ha! Funny how people have brand loyalty. I worked for in our district garage for more than 10 years and we had a fleet or more than 250 cars, pickups and trucks. Given my experience there and elsewhere, I would never buy a Dodge-Chrysler product. When it came to cars and pickups, the Fords were by far the most reliable and longest lasting. The only really good Big Three car I ever had was my mother's old Buick. Given my experience with Ford dealerships, who treat their franchise as a license to steel, I won't ever buy another Ford. Nor would I buy another GM. Other than my mother's old Buick, the only cars I have owned over the last 25 years have been a Mazda, two Hondas and a Toyota. |

I can recall a Cutless Ciera and a Chevy Lumina. I used to have to replace the front brakes on those cars frequently. My guess is that he would use the brakes more frequently than most people but mostly it was because the brakes were designed to do that. My guess is that he got dissed by one of the dealers and vowed to never buy a GM product again. That, I suppose, was fine with me. |

That's what he paid for the car, or what he paid for the repairs? I'm not familiar with U.S prices for body work/painting, but I expect it's similar to Australia. Which means it probably cost as much (if not more) than the car itself did. >He'll drive it into the side of his house in no time. 2 cars, both with damage within a short space of time. Same driver. He's had body work done 3 times on 2 cars in the last year. Once because he drove it into the side of the house, once because he T-boned somebody, and this time just for the **** of it, for a car he supposedly despises. He's also had to get towed once from Bum****, Missouri because he ran out of electricity. And another $2,000 to install 240V AC in his garage to charge the car he's wrecked twice. I'm sure he recently claimed the latest damage to his Leaf was caused by a 'hit and run' driver? He did have charging ports installed because he fully expected his college student renters to jump on the electric car bandwagon. Hell, even when he has renters they're only living there temporarily. They sure as hell aren't going to buy electric cars because he thinks they should. Don't forget, he also expected them to give up their cell phones and chip in to pay for his landline. Hey, the golf course maintenance people crossed my property line markers last Monday when the ground was soaking wet from heavy rain over the weekend. They put some big tire ruts in my back yard. Next time it rains those ruts will fill with water. I think I'll call it McQ's Creek. LOL Pssst - they'll be out here next week to repair the damage. Jill |

And sounds fantastic! Well, I hope you don't have any more major expenses on it. You probably would have been better off selling it and buying another car. It's no benefit to you to become emotionally attached to what is a very common and low value old car that will only continue to depreciate in value. |
