Default Report back on air fryer

Angela was my guinea pig. Made Chicken Nuggets, Tater Crowns and Mozzarella
Sticks. My air fryer is not see through so there is no way of judging the
doneness unless you pull out the basket. I now know that you can do that
while it is cooking.

The nuggets were fine but I would have preferred them to be a bit more
crispy. Angela liked them though.

Some of the crowns got a tad burned. Still edible.

The sticks may have cooked a tiny bit long as some cheese melted out. I am
not familiar with cooking those but Angela makes them and said hers come out
like that.

She loved the meal!

I made more crowns for myself for poutine. I cooked mine for less time and
they were prefect.

Now to see what else I can do with this. Not likely I'll do much from
scratch as I don't cook fried stuff from scratch to begin with or even eat
much fried stuff.

Cook them for the recommended time at a lower temp
Then do a second cook for like 5-7 minutes at a higher than recommend
temp.
That should make them crispy for you!....

No. I have no intention of eating them again. I don't really like chicken. I
just made too many so I tried one. She liked it.

You could if you wanted to I have that one and the airfryer oven too.
You can see through the door with that one.

It is good to be using less oil. I occasionally use my deep fryer but
feel I offset it with the airfryer for other things

Enjoy!

I haven't had a deep fryer since the 80's. I had a really good one that was
older than me. Only used once for donuts. Then I won a Fry Daddy so gave my
old one away. My then roommate bought some lumpia from a coworker and we
tried to fry it. The oil never got hot enough and all we had was a soggy
mess.

Â* Or do like I do and put the stuff that you want crispier on the
bottom . Probably not a great idea with the mozz sticks , but I usually
shake it up a bit about halfway thru the cook time . Our local atheist
troll seems to like to make extra work for himself .

Bought the ninja foodie. Takes up a lot of space. Lid opens from right to left.
Did fries tk check it out. Good but a hassle. Give me a month to give a good report.
So far no good.
I know how to cook so this might be good for a beginner, not for me. Yet.

I've got the Ninja Foodi and really like it, but yes, it does take up a lot
of space. You can pressure cook wings in six minutes and then crisp them
up using the air fryer function.

Lots of YouTube videos on what people have cooked and the InstaPot recipes
will convert easily to it.

But why were the fries a hassle? I thought they were easy but I did not
cook mine as long as they recommend.

I did find the air fryer to be a hassle to make a whole meal. Can only do
one thing at a time. But... Right now I have to make do with it.

the bottom of the airfryer? away from the direct heat? Where the
heating and cooking will make what is cooked soggy? Hmmm some one is
telling a fib!
