Funny post, especially that last comment. First, plain olive oil doesn't have much taste. You're probably thinking about the Extra Virgin Olive Oil which will hopefully have some taste. That's good for certain dishes but not all. Olive oil is also trendy and has been for a good while. IMO, much cheaper Canola Oil is just as healthy, but some will argue that one. For general oil use, I'll usually buy the Canola oil. That said, I rarely use oil so....who cares? All in moderation. I love deep fried food but it's rare. Last time was about 2 years ago. |
