The McRib Is Finally Back at McDonald's After Playing Hard-to-Get Again

"The McRib is coy. It'll bat its slivered onions at you, its patty seductively glazed in a sweet, glistening BBQ sauce. Its pickles will flaunt its brighter attributes, while its buns remain just as soft and memorable as ever.. And then -- just as abruptly as it came -- the McRib will turn on its hoagie and leave you. But don't worry -- the McRib will return. The McRib always comes back.

And back again it is. Starting on October 7, McRibs are reappearing at over 10,000 McDonald's locations, like a long lost friend who you haven't spoken to in ages but still feel the same towards -- whether that feeling is resentment or genuine joy at the prospect of being reunited.

€œWere always listening to our customers and we know the McRib has some of the most loyal fans,€� Chef Chad Schafer, senior director of culinary innovation and commercialization at McDonalds, said in a press release. €œThis year were excited to give every McRib fan new ways to show their love for the sandwich." And that new way, of course, is with McRib-themed GIFs.

Fans of the saucy sandwich can share McRib GIFs on Instagram, because naturally that is what you would do when you can't contain your excitement whilst purchasing a McRib.

McDonald's has revealed that the GIFs are a permanent addition to its Giphy sticker feeds, but as per usual, the McRib will not remain a permanent fixture on McDonald's menu. Last year, the McRib left the menu in November 2018 so if history is to repeat itself, you have roughly two months to get a hold of the ribless rib sandwich..."

If I was not so post-an-image debilitated right now, I'd post a pic of a NAKED McRib! Macerated press molded pork in the shape of a McRib, just with NO SAUCE! Like a little flat Pork Nugget with NO Breading!

Eating one of those babies is quite an intense experience. My guess is that you'd feel ill after eating one. The sauce has a high amount of sugar and it's surprisingly spicy and topped with a good amount of raw onions. The amount of sauce makes it tough to keep together when you eat it. At the end, your fingers will be covered with sauce and so will your face. It's probably one of the most processed/notorious/studied foods you can bite into.

I read a bit about it this morning, not just McRib other foods too.
Starbucks has the pumpkin spice stuff. There is a big demand for a
short time. Then people get their full of it and demand drops so it
does not stay on the regular menu.

Not much different than holiday traditions most of us have. The cookies
at Christmas don't go over as well in June.

Bite your tongue. The only cookies we bake at Christmas are chocolate
chip cookies. Those are good all year long (but we limit ourselves to
once a year).

I laughed when I first saw them advertised but I tried one and it was
really good for the price. I've had better, but they were $16 and up.

I can not lie when I worked at Mc D's I loved the McRib. I must have
eaten like 3-4 of those a day.
But now I would not touch the gluten infused fake meated sandwich with
a 10 foot pole.

Back when I was into fast food, I liked the McRib. 711 used to have a nice pizza pita that I got after work, early in the mornin'. I very rarely eat junk these days, but now and then...
