![]() I just read an article that was reported yesterday that a vegan woman from Perth, Australia had taken her neighbors to court for barbecuing. It was reported that the supreme court (?) told her that her neighbors had done nothing wrong and she doesn't have a leg to stand on. Case dismissed. From the pictures it looks like she lives in row of connected single story homes with tall solid metal fences separating each yard. Her other complaints besides cooking meat outside was their cigarette smoke was wafting into her yard. Also, the children were bouncing their basketballs against the fence waking her and just making a racket. The neighbors instructed their children to stop bouncing their basketballs against the fence and they also have moved their grills to other areas of their yard. That's not good enough for her and she's going to take them back to court. No matter where you live in this world, there's always a nut in every neighborhood. |

Would you complain if your neighbours' cigarette smoke wafted into your house? (Assuming you're not a smoker yourself, of course.) And if so, would that make you a nut? |

There are nuts everywhere, but it's much worse in western countries now. Our institutions have completely lost their collective minds. I view it as part of the final stages of our decline. Democracy only function so well for a certain period of time. The fact is that so many now just *love* to seek out something - anything - to problematize for the sake of it. It's unsustainable and crazy. For example - if a man is unwilling to have sex with a transgender, he is now considered transphobic. And it's gone one step further: https://pulpitandpen.org/2019/08/14/...say-activists/ How about the Bret Weinstein saga: https://www.nytimes.com/2017/06/16/u...-protests.html Have a listen to this Joe Rogan podcast, it's a perfect example of what is wrong at this time, and why: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AZZNvT1vaJg |
