Firstly, chicken nuggets are not meat... Secondly, we all hear about clueless parents making poor dietary chooses for their kids, but I think they're in a minority, or at least only certain demographics anyway. |

Maybe in dsi1's circles, dinner for children means a bucket of chicken nuggets. Australian McDonalds chicken nuggets: "Chicken, Water, Flour (Wheat, Corn), Canola Oil, Starch (1420, 1422, Corn, Wheat, Tapioca), Mineral Salts (450, 500, 451, 341, 327), Salt, Spices (Celery, White Pepper, Black Pepper), Sunflower Oil, Dextrose." American McDonalds Chicken nuggets: White Boneless Chicken, Water, Vegetable Oil (Canola Oil, Corn Oil, Soybean Oil, Hydrogenated Soybean Oil), Enriched Flour (Bleached Wheat Flour, Niacin, Reduced Iron, Thiamine Mononitrate, Riboflavin, Folic Acid), Bleached Wheat Flour, Yellow Corn Flour, Vegetable Starch (Modified Corn, Wheat, Rice, Pea, Corn), Salt, Leavening (Baking Soda, Sodium Aluminum Phosphate, Sodium Acid Pyrophosphate, Calcium Lactate, Monocalcium Phosphate), Spices, Yeast Extract, Lemon Juice Solids, Dextrose, Natural Flavors. |

You don't know nothing about America or Hawaii. You don't know a thing about American kids and what they eat. You're ignorant about what's happening on the food scene or what's trending or about the younger generation's concerns about eating meat and the meat industry's unsustainable, cruel, methods.. The younger generation is so ready for products like this. You don't know a thing about my feelings about Chicken McNuggets nor will I be disclosing that information to the likes of you. Please confine your comments to something you know something about - you parasite! My fearless prediction: in the new world of fake meat, chickpeas are going to be trending. Soybeans are so yesterday. https://www.salon.com/2019/07/23/an-...ush-speeds-up/ |

As a parent of a current school aged child, I can say I dont see or hear of any parents that mass feed their kids fast food on a regular basis. At least, not in my demographic, which is about as average as one can get. |

But you said children learn to eat meat through chicken nuggets and mainlanders denied that. So I concluded this was a Hawaiian thing. And if not, you can correct me, rather than get all hoity-toity and angry. You planted the idea yourself. |

I don't think that's surprising considering that most parents have to work and a lot of folks work two or more jobs. We are also one of the happiest states. That is surprising considering the oppressively high cost of living. We call it the price of living in paradise. OTOH, it's a small price to pay for being healthy and happy. As far as this idiotic discussion on the Hawaiian McNugget goes, it's ain't just the Hawaiians, it's nationwide. https://finance.yahoo.com/news/mcdon...120120396.html |

Does not mean that anyone eats that all the time. For most people it's an occasional thing to buy. All the parents I know and have known cook well for their kids. Myself (and wife) included years ago. I've made no secret that I do enjoy fast food but I only buy it about 4 times a year. Some here act like that's all I eat. I rarely do. Maybe that's why I enjoy it so much when I *DO* buy some. |
