I had some a couple of years ago, it's nowhere near as good as it was
years ago and yes, drip fat was one of the problems.

I remember liking it when I was a kid. It was a novelty. I don't live in
the South, so good Southern Fried Chicken just wasn't a thing around
here until the colonel introduced us to it. I don't know if it was my
taste buds or the quality of the product, but I lost my taste for it
quickly. I have nor touched the stuff in years.
