I thought that after replacing four major appliances in 6 weeks I was
pretty well set for a while. Now it is the small appliances. The other day I went to make my morning espresso and my machine would not work on steam mode. The coffee mode worked fine and I had to tough it and drink the espresso straight. I immediately went on line to check out espresso makers. When my wife got back from walking the dogs I warned her about the problem and advised her that Canadian Tire had a great sale on them so I was going to order a replacement. Next thing I know, she is making her latte and the machine is working fine. Phew. This morning I was making a batch of date squares. Since I use large flake oats instead of quick cooking I mix them up in the food processor. The last time I used it the blade attachment was hard to remove. The shaft appeared to be slightly bent. It worked to mix up the dry ingredients, but when I took the bowl off the top of the shaft broke off. So..... of to the store for a replacement. I just got a low end Cuisinart that was on sale for about 40% off. It should suit my purposes. |
