YUM!!! Best breakfast ever!! And if you live another 10-15 years you'll be calling your present housemates your former girlfriends because they were the objects of your imagination during your frequent extreme masturbation sessions. ObFood: Sriracha egg salad. Sriracha mixed with mayo is the best condiment on Earth. They must be pre-mixed together - you can't just spread on some mayo and then sqwert on some sriracha. -sw |

YUM!!! Best breakfast ever!! > https://www.yelp.com/biz/flavor-of-i...t_by=date_desc ONE star from Jennifer B: "Went here yesterday for takeout and got the lamb tikka masala. I was highly disappointed in that the sauce for the tikka masala just tasted like tomato soup, devoid of any spices or flavor. Even the lamb was tough and tasted old, kind of like you might imagine dog food to taste. I was not impressed and will not be back..." ONE star from Beeg R: "I have been enjoying their food until tonight. Tonight we ordered a chicken and chickpea entrees. The chicken has no taste and no sauce. The chickpeas are in a watery sauce and taste like from a can. Neither dish has any seasoning in it. My frozen Indian dinner taste better than this.." ONE star from sangharsh a: "Very bad taste for a vegetarian person from Indian subcontinent, quality of raw ingredients is rotten. Avoid if you understand and appreciate Indian vegetarian food..." ONE star from Angela M: "Horrible experience! Unfortunately it was my son's first experience with Indian food. We entered the restaurant today at 1:30 and a woman yells from across the restaurant, "here, here, you sit here." As we rushed over she says, "only water" as she pours water and walks away. The buffet had little to chose from and it was obviously sitting for awhile. My rice had hard burned pieces that were inedible. A man stood at the counter mean mugging the remaining customers. Shortly before 2 he rounded the 3 tables of customers telling all of us that they were closing in 15 minutes. He then went and put out the sterno burners, continuing to stare at everyone with his arm crossed. We finished, paid, and left before 2:15. The sign states that they close at 2:30. Not one ounce of good or appropriate customer service. There are far too many friendly Indian restaurants nearby to ever patronize this place again! Will never be back..." TWO stars from Surbhi R: "Not that great tasting food. Gulab jamun is the saving grace of otherwise very average tasting food..." THREE stars from LK: "Dal Mahkni was tasty prepared medium hot and Raita was just right. Rice was great. We were told we could have as much as we liked. Ended up finishing two plates full. Aloo Palak (Sag Aloo) was bland. Lamb Korma was sheep in brown gravy - tasty not not at all exotic. We were the only ones there on a Sunday at 6:30...." ONE star from Rosa D: "As soon as we walked in the first thing we noticed was the place smelled like bleach instead of Indian dishes simmering in the kitchen. In fact there was no smell other than bleach (are they trying to cover something up?). The next thing we noticed was that it was 7pm (on a Sunday) and virtually empty. Just one table. Never a good sign. Next, the owner/manager came up to us and demanded in a hostile tone, "sit here! Sit!". We said we wanted to order take out. He said, "Sit!" like we were dogs being trained. We looked at the menu, tried to ignore the bleach smell and what was ignored was us. We finally walked out and went to Saffron which was delicious and smelled like cumin, black mustard seeds, coriander ... etc...." TWO stars from Kara S: "Seriously one of the worst Indian buffets I have had in Metro St.Louis. None of the dishes had a flavor of there own. The flavors were muddled if they existed at all. The tandoori chicken, typically a highlight for me on any Indian Buffet, was dry, overcomes and flavorless. The kitchen or whatever was behind those doors was extremely loud especially since the rest of the restaurant was quiet. I don't know if they we killing chickens for dinner service or just throwing the pans around for fun but either way it was loud. On the plus side the restaurant was clean, tastefully decorated, well themed, and generally comfortable. It really is a shame the food was so bad..." ONE star from Andrew K: "From folklore to Bangalore, even Vishnu, who would have to aggressively flail every arm on his body to get service here, would frown on such epic indifference. Was the food good? Yes. But in the words of a restaurant manager for whom I once worked, "Great service can overcome mediocre food, and bad service can curdle great food." In my last review, I gave four stars to a diner which has notoriously sub-par service that is offset by well above average fare, which kind of negates my manager's maxim. Or does it? Maybe. In the latter case, I think they try, but can't quite nail it. In the former, they could nail it, but don't try. Honestly, I was never really even spoken to at at Flavor of India. Upon entering, I stood in the foyer for a couple minutes before being acknowledged from afar with a shout of "Just a minute, sir." A booth was hurriedly set, and I was waved in from across the restaurant. Upon my triumphant land grab, I beamingly waited for the dulcet tones of a drink order request . . . and waited . . . . . . and waited. Finally, I tired of waiting and sauntered off to the buffet. The vegetarian choices were satisfactory, which one might expect when eating Indian food. I returned to my booth hungry and thirsty, finding a nice glass of ice water awaiting my return. In return I awaited, and awaited, and finally after a couple polite excuse mes, was finally able to assert that I would, in fact, rather enjoy a King Fisher. And I did, in fact, enjoy my King Fisher, and eagerly awaited an offer to partake once again . . . and awaited . . . and awaited. Finally after awaiting away in Prohibitionville, a server broke into my periphery, and with table full and glass empty, wordlessly plopped a check before my visage. "Excuse me," I pleaded, "I'd like another beer, please," as I chucked the check to the other side of the table. Wordlessly, the hand descended to reclaim the swimming pool blue grid with numerical inscriptions, jerking it back into the abyss. I was more fortunate than that poor piece of papyrus, receiving water, barley, hops and yeast in a bottle. I imbibed gratefully as the server offered to take my now long empty plate. I acquiesced, and he suggested that I keep my fork. One of my pet peeves is when a waitron doesn't simply remove any soiled eating utensils perched on plate, and return with fresh. Natch. Put yer dirty tines on the table top, oh so recently swabbed with dirty club soda and smeared with swimming bacteria. Sheesh. Is it that hard and costly to just bring a clean fork? And never once did mortal nor deity inquire as to my satisfaction. Feh. Rotten service spoils good - not great, but good - food. Will I return? Maybe. But I'll bring semaphores and a spotlight if I do..." |

MUCH better than most United Statesian restaurant food! They had pretty passable Curried Goat! No Vindaloos though, at the buffet anyway. John Kuthe... |
