Dave, not only does reporting to,the IRS maybe get someone a finder's fee, but it ALSO
calls the reporter to the attention of the agency. That is never a good thing. So one better be 100% correct on their own taxes before being a tattler. N. |

A couple years ago I was out bicycling and came across a large plastic garbage bag in a ditch. It reeked of rotten meat and there were some vultures hanging around. My thought at the time was that maybe there was a body in the bag. I sure didn't want to open it up. The smell would have been enough to gag a maggot. If I knew there was an ongoing search for a missing person I could have called the police. If it turned out to have been body I would suddenly find myself being a person of interest in a criminal investigation. |

It may just have been my overactive imagination that lead the police on a wild goose chase over some illegal dumping of garbage. |

"Oh no!! *I* might get in trouble! *I* better DO NOTHING!! And RUN AWAY!!" Got that GUILTY CONSCIENCE, eh? What have YOU killed and put into a big plastic bag and thrown in a ditch? John Kuthe... |

However, there are cases of people who go missing and the chance that they have died or been murdered and their bodies dumped somewhere. If you are the one who finds it and reports it you are pretty well guaranteed that you will be a person of interest in the investigation. How did you just happen to be at this remote place? ... returning to the scene of the crime? |

I like reading murder mysteries but how many people actually *do* return to the scene of the crime? Or a body dump site? They'd be stupid to do so. Missing persons aside, I'm sure it would have been splashed all over the news if a body or body parts had been found in a bag near where you ride your bike. Jill |

The absolute worst odor that I know of, unfortunately...but a one-time thing when I was very
young...is raw chicken not first sealed in one or two Ziplocks. It smells like I don't know what... worse than a dead mouse, maybe. N. |

If one dead mouse can leave a car with a horrible stench, imagine what a couple hundred pounds of rotting flesh would be like. |

Also bad smelling is leftover seafood that goes way off. Two very horrible smells. |

Fresh fish has little to NO smell; spoiled, not so much! And that was why we started putting lemon juice on fish to kill the fishy smell! The "fishy smell" was spoiling fish! And now, many love lemon juice on fish! And NOW WE ALL KNOW WHY! :-) John Kuthe... |
