If it holds at least 1 gallon or more (my large one holds more than 2) and fulfills the specs given above, you're on the safe side if the uncooked beans (soaked or not) with the liquid fill the pot to one third at most. Let the pressure go down naturally completely after cooking. Don't add acid (not even sparkling water) until they are done. Salt, onions, spices etc. are no problem. Bye, Sanne. |
