It's also very small. They said 9-10". Might cook a meal for one. Big whoop.

I'll bet that would work - sliced, battered and fried.

Gimmick. I'd just use my oven in the winter and my gas grill in the summer.

I bought this cooker about 6 or so years ago, still looks like new because
it's in a cupboard in the garage, it is not easy to use like the NuWave is
for the things I do.

Pickle chips are sort of well known in some parts of the world. I don't
think cucumber slices battered and fried are a thing. Nor can I see it
becoming a thing. LOL

What the heck, the topic is about yet another countertop kitchen gadget.
No, I would not pay $100 for it.

I am still in analysis/paralysis mode.

It's the self-contained duck cooking that has me still researching, that
and the occasional small turkey - well...you can see where I'm leaning...

It has an extension ring though.

I love kitchen gadgets, I have a ton of them, but many of them are useless
to me after purchasing, either not working as advertised, a b***h to clean,
or something else. I saw Trisha Yearwood make the deep fried pickle chips,
and another cook make fried cucumber slices. I tried the fried cucumber
slices (unbattered just in butter) and they were good, but I like raw
better.

I love the NuWave, but...it has a flaw, that being the hard plastic dome
that cracks close to the power head after a couple of years, then they want
about 30.00 to ship you a new dome, or 30.00 at Amazon with free shipping,
ridiculous. I think you will be quite happy with your air fryer.

I have never cooked a duck in either, sorry...unlike another *know it all*

anything about it or not. ;-)

I am still in analysis/paralysis mode.

It's the self-contained duck cooking that has me still researching, that
and the occasional small turkey - well...you can see where I'm leaning...

I think you're right, the ducks in the markets are larger these days,
same as chickens and turkeys.

I think they're all on steroids.

Mine cooks a large chicken easily, supposed to be able to cook a 12 pound
turkey with the extension ring, but I have never done that.

Yes, I will pass them on if they want them. I've always been a sucker for
kitchen gadgets. I do love the sous vide cooker, I recently did pork steaks,
they were so good and tender with just a quick flash in the pan.

If you Google it you will see that the cracking dome is a common complaint.

The sous vide is totally the bomb!

And boy does it concentrate the marinades nicely.

Oh wow)) Lucky you ... fill your boots)) Well the only problem I've
had so far was trying to cook a full chicken. As I said, I had to take off
the legs and wings and that made is a size it could cope with ... oh yes,
and my sweet potato chips. I think they were too big and not all the same
size. that does make a difference. I've made potato chips oops fries, and
they were fine.

Yesterday I cooked venison grill steaks and 3 cauliflower patties all
together for D. I had to sit the steaks up right but they still did
great)

I have the mid size AF 3.2 litres. It was big enough for that.
