I've been doing it most every morning fer the last 6 mos. Russet taters
nuked jes right, shredded on cheapo box grater, browned in super
cheapo non-stick Walmart skillet using peanut oil or bacon grease. My
fans love 'em.

Russets, absolutely. Not something I cook every day. Let's say a
couple of times a year. And lettuce <j/k> not bring up potato pancakes.

Yeah, its only the shell that is a little crunchy. Nothing very toxic
though.
