I found a salad recipe calling for candied walnuts;
home candied, so to speak. Are there any tricks to get a similar effect, without use of sugar? -- Rich |

Candied, as other posters have pointed out, implies sugar or some other source of sugar like honey. I'd substitute toasted walnuts or omit them altogether.
