That's pretty much what we've done. The fact that the ceiling
height is not much over 6 feet is another reason not to try to
finish it. There are places where the HVAC plenum makes it
even shorter. Good thing I'm 5'8" and not 5'9", or I'd
bump my head every time I came down the stairs.
