Smaller 14" chains are not all that wide and I'm certain any bone wouldn't be an issue. You could flush the oil reservoir and refill with vegetable oil. But you'll still ended up making a mess of course :) |

You can use vegetable oil in the chain bar lube reservoir, like I do in my little electric chainsaw that I use exclusively for cutting up BBQ wood from my fruit trees, mostly my dead peach and cherry trees. We had a hot, very dry summer 2 or 3 years ago, and it killed a few of my fruit trees. --Bryan |

I'm a lot older than you and I cut up huge fallen trees with a bow saw every year. I have a chain saw but often it's less work to use a bow saw, and a lot safer. A bow saw is also greener. |
