Last week, I melted the butter in a saucepan, then stirred in the flour and rather than immediately start mixing in the milk, I stirred and cooked the flour and butter thin paste for a few minutes. After that, I added in a mix of 2/3 chicken broth and 1/3 milk. Then I added in some sauteed mushrooms and onions. Taste was fantastic. No more "Cream of xxxxxx" soup for me. I'm mad at Betty Crocker too. She never told me to cook the flour/butter for a bit first. I only heard it here. G. |

Sounds like a good plan, yes? Nah, "duking it out" as you say settles nothing. It is not the way civilized people resolve conflicts. A mental health disorder becomes an issue for the individual with it when it starts impeding their functionality, basically. My particular issue finally became intolerable for me, so I had to get help with it. Bryan's NPD is far more insidious in that he actually DOES think he is better than everyone else. He expresses that here repeatedly, as do several others here (ShelDUM for one). This is dysfunction, social dysfunction. It's pathologic, hurtful and basically evil. John Kuthe... |
