Not what you might think. Long hours, no pay.
And if you don't live in the LA area, forget it. http://www.newsfromme.com/2016/02/07...or-disaster-3/ |

I thought it would all be taped in about 30 minutes. I've watched a few episodes of some of the reality shows and they can be entertaining and even slightly educational showing a slice of like we are not aware of. Some are so horribly scripted they have no value at all. In my life I never knew about ice roads or that there is an alligator hunting season. Watching a couple of episodes is interesting if you ignore the drama created by the producers. Moonshiners is still on after a couple of years. I cannot imagine these guys are still hiding in the woods and the law can't find them after 3 seasons of TV. |

It's so obviously a trap, I can't believe those people fall for it. OTOH, if they were smart, they'd be brain surgeons rather than car thieves. Cindy Hamilton |

Prisons are filled with dumbass criminals. The smart criminals are still free. |

The only reality show that I've really enjoyed is Alaska the Last Frontier. You're just making shit up about Bryan's mental health. Cindy Hamilton |

I found the Ice Road Truckers show to be interesting because it taught me things that I didn't know but it quickly became repetitive. I also liked a black guy who was on Chopped and has since been on many other cooking shows. He managed to make wonderful things out of pretty much anything. He said he came from a very poor family in some other country although I can't remember now which country that was. His creativity was refreshing. But what I find to be almost comical is when the judges on such shows rave about some old technique as though it is new and has never been done before. Like avocado pudding or crushing pork rinds to use as a breading. And there is always that one judge who knows exactly what the weird ingredient is and will tell us all about it. |
