I don't know about Mark Storkamp, but when my husband was last hospitalized,
it was paid for by his employer, which is self-insured.

His previous stay was paid for by my health insurance, which is a nonprofit.

As in Mark's case, he was pretty eager to get home by the time he was
released, even though it was less than a week each time.
