Ran across this PBS series a couple days ago. As I watch it on
broadband streaming (Roku), it comes off as 2-10 min clips, then points to it's website for details/recipe: http://www.chefsteps.com/ .....which I pretty much ignore, as it has so many client-side scripts, it's easier to jes find the U2B entry. Agreed, there's a lotta silliness, but some of the recipes are pretty innovative. I particularly like the smoked brisket made indoors in a regular oven, but don't know if I can afford a whole brisket. I'm definitely gonna try the bourbon/pecan pie made with a pte brisée crust. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uMQ8iJ4VIGk .....I may sneak up on it, though, as I don't wanna commit that much material to one pie until I've tested it out ona smaller 9" pie shell. In case you didn't notice, ChefSteps adores sous vide. Any suggestions on a sub-fortune sous vide heater/circulator? ![]() nb |

I'm not a baker so readily admit I'd never heard of the male judge. The older woman judge, who's name escapes me, I have seen her on PBS and even on The Cooking Channel. |
