Roar Colombian Coffee
I am not really a coffee drinker, but I tried some courtesy Roar
Columbian single serving coffee. It's great. We have an Ingles food chain. My first attempt in trying another Columbian was the first brand on the shelf that was Columbian. It was Dunkin Donuts Colombian coffee. It's not as good. Anyone want to recommend another brand to try? |

Decent coffee that won't put you in the poor house (store it in the freezer if you don't drink much coffee). You're in the South East, so you probably don't have a Safeway. Look for Indonesian or African sourced coffee. A blend is fine, sometimes it's desirable. -- A kitchen without a cook is just a room. |

Without it, things just don't seem right. After my morning cup I don't have or make any more until the next day. Janet US |

But as a single person who has a cup in the morning and maybe one more in the afternoon, I find my Keurig to be a good solution. Even at $.50+ a cup, it beats making a larger pot that might not be used, and the convenience makes it a better solution (for me) than a French press or some such. I also don't wind up buying coffee in packages that's going to go stale in the refrigerator. |

It brews up to a 16 ounce insulated mug of coffee and I grind my own beans. Cheaper buying by the pound and grinding the beans as needed and of course that ensures fresh coffee. I do not store my beans in the 'fridge but do use COLD water to brew. Grinder is a burr grinder. |

Thanks to everyone for the suggestions. I wasn't looking for a single serve method. I was just explaining how I got a chance to try the Roar brand coffee. It is only sold in single cup sizes. I was looking for maybe 12oz size serving that had the same Columbian flavor. Thanks |

Hey Seymour4Head: If you want more of that sensational Coffee at home, in single serving size, get a Keurig Coffee Brewer plus the extra single cup brewing basket that replaces the through away pods. Get a bag of Eight O'Clock Columbian Whole Bean Coffee and also a Coffee Grinder. Now you can grind enough coffee for a single serving. Also, freshly ground coffee tastes much better. William |

I also don't wind up > buying coffee in packages that's going to go stale in the refrigerator. The Keurig system sure does save a heap of time. I used to spend some time in the ritual of making coffee when I was younger but these days, time is more important. Most importantly, it makes a great tasting cup. If it didn't, the system wouldn't mean shit to me. I've been using the San Francisco Bay OneCup module/pod thingies. It does away with the plastic shell of a K-cup and the coffee tastes fine. OTOH, the plastic shell of the K-cup is what prolongs the shelf life of the coffee so the OneCup pods are packaged 10 to an air sealed bag that have a limited life once you open it. You can get the product from Costco but I went through Amazon. |
