Default Spent Towards the Assessment 1/16/2015 (requested by some)

I had some errands to run today so on the way home I stopped at the
Dataw Club. I ordered a couple of things [to go] towards the dining
assessment.

The entree I brought home for dinner tonight was Fish & Chips. I was
asked would I like the fish battered or broiled? I know it's not
traditional fish & chips but I went with the broiled cod with fries.
French fries are easy enough to reheat wrapped in foil.

I also ordered Crab Artichoke Dip served with Brioche "crackers". Hmmm,
the crackers look and taste like small melba toast rounds to me.
Crunchy but not tasty. The dip is very good so I'm not complaining.

In one day, I'm halfway through the recommended goal of $67 for the
month.

The Someone Else troll is a flamer. I'd like to see it contribute
*anything* to a discussion of food.

It was very good! The woman looked at me oddly when I checked the to go
containers to make sure I got what I'd ordered. I explained one day
last year I ordered the fish & chips to go without checking. I got
home, opened the container... fish but no chips! (I'd have raised hell
if it had been reversed!) It wasn't worth driving back over there just
for some french fries but I did call to let them know I wasn't happy.
Anyway, she said, "I packed that one myself, everything is in there."
Pardon me if I don't take everything on blind faith.

I scrutinize takeouts too, rare as they are. Tough muffies if they don't like it.

Takeout is fairly rare for me, too. It was just a weird situation when
I got home with fish and no chips. I'm not the type to say "oh well"
and let it go. IMHO no one should. Didn't get what you ordered? Tell
them about it. I don't understand people who refuse to complain when
something isn't right in a restaurant.
