Default Food column in my local paper

The columnist starts out praising a recipe for crab bisque, but she reverts to using canned cream soups a la Campbell. I guess she didn't want to push the would-be cooks TOO far. But, oh, that salt. I bet some ppl have never had a scratch cream soup - they'd be amazed at the difference.

I detest all cream soups, whether homemade or commercially made... I
think cream soups are disgusting. Milk/cream belongs with flakie
wakies, clear *broth* belongs with soups. Whoever came up with this
"cream of" slop is sick, afflicted with TIAD. I like some creamy
soups like beef 'shroom barley, split pea, hot 'n sour, all bean
soups, but I don't like soups with dairy... I don't like cold soups
either, to me soup is a hot dish. Now I'm not trying to convince
others, just saying *my* preferences.

I concur--everybody who doesn't like food cooked the way I like is

Uh huh. We already know what you detest.

Whatever the hell that is.

According to you. Lots of us cook with clear broths and stock.

Ad infinitum. You present it as the only way others should cook.

Here's a pretty good, clean, and contemporary, cooking site. The photos
are really pretty. It looks very nice on a tablet running Win8.
