The information is there but you have to scroll over to the right. Not sure
why they couldn't make it fit the page. The soup base contains modified food starch and that is a no go. For me anyway... |

No. More likely due to the browser I am using which is Chrome. No clue what you're using. When I had a website, I made sure that it displayed properly and the music worked on all browsers. I only ever had the one browser on my computer at the time and that was IE. So I would ask others to check on theirs. My bro has many computers and can easily check every browser. |

And the scroll bar at the bottom of the screen wasn't obvious to me the first few times that I checked. And I did check several times! |

If you have a website, you would be wise to make sure that it displays properly on all commonly used browsers. I don't know if they are still out there but their used to be websites you could use and they would also check your HTML codes for errors. >> My bro has many computers and can easily check every browser. > > He doesn't know how to use multiple browsers on one computer? Of course he does! Dur. But if you put the computers side by side you can easily check for differences in the way things are displayed. Also, I had music on my website and the way it looped or didn't loop could be different on different browsers. I can't give you details on that as it has been years since I've had a website and I can't remember what I did to fix it. |

If you geta horizontal scroll bar it means you are not using the optimum resolution. There is only so much one can do to accommodate screen and text size when designing Web sites. You can also scroll in or out, too. And I looked at your Web site and I see nothing in the source that shows where you did any optimization at all except to check for IE or Navigator - which BTW no longer exists. So you, not some troll, put that site up probably back in 2000 or so. HTML doesn't get more basic than what you put up, BTW. I am not running a website. I haven't maintained that for years! And I did use Word to create it. The site was built many years ago before there were many bells and whistles available on the Internet. It wasn't long after that there were a lot of fancier things. Was I interested? No. I am not a website designer nor did I claim to be one. I put that up before my daughter was born. I was a writer seeking publication in those days. But then I had my daughter and certainly didn't have the time to maintain a website. I did go onto it and update the pics and info. from time to time. And then I got Myspace, Twitter and Facebook which work for me. Well, Facebook anyway. I never use the other two. I let the website go. And when Frontier took over, I didn't put it back up. Apparently they did at some point. They didn't inform me as such and even they don't seem to know that it is there because it isn't listed in my account info. |

When you create an HTML page using Word it inserts a great many of its own formatting tags as well as comments and other garbage. If you then use Word to delete all the crud, Word puts it right back. So you then need to get a third party HTML editor, or using a text editor to remove all the Word junk. The thing is, you do not know what is junk and what is not unless you have acquired HTML skills you have not confessed to having. Which it is clear by the source code you lack completely. All this I am doing is hoping to get you shut down so we can discuss food again. --- This email has been checked for viruses by Avast antivirus software. http://www.avast.com |

So why manually enter the tags as if you used Notepad? Word would have formatted that page completely differently. And every time you removed Word's formatting it would put it back on the next save. >> >> All this I am doing is hoping to get you shut down so we can discuss food >> again. > > Get *me* shut down? No I did not! I don't even know what an ISP-provided web builder is. I did exactly what I said that I did. I bought a book from a book store in Dennis MA. And I used it and Word to make the site. And so what if it was bare bones? I wasn't out to impress anyone with a website. I wanted something to put pics on, mainly. |

And how could it have been 2000? Since it was only 1995 or 1996? I don't even think that I had Word2000. I think that I had Word Perfect but I could be wrong on that. |

I already cut up the veggies and will be using canned beans. I was going to cook some dried beans but my friend was having phone issues (combination of squirrels and too much rain) and asked me to try calling her today to see if the drier weather might make the lines better. So... I opted to use canned. We're having unseasonably warm weather right now so I don't foresee a chance of getting snowed in for the next 10 days at least. Normally I try to keep a good stock of canned goods for the winter. I have leftover chicken, roasted potatoes and coleslaw for those who do not want the chili. Then the next day I will make those good New York Steaks that I got at Central Market. Normally they would have cost me about $45 but with the sale price it was around $28 for 4 steaks. Not sure what I'll make for sides. I have plenty of salad type items, a few potatoes and plenty of pasta and rice. |
