![]() Lunch today was quinoa pasta tossed with pesto. This was served alongside sauteed broccolini, and a salad in a butter lettuce boat, dressed with balsamic vinegar and olive oil. This was my first experience with quinoa pasta, it's very, very, good and is one of my favorite pastas. The box says to cook for 16 to 18 minutes, no way, it takes a long time, probably more like half an hour plus. https://flic.kr/p/qhVKoY koko -- Food is our common ground, a universal experience James Beard |

Does quinoa pasta taste like quinoa? Because to my taste buds, quinoa is disgusting.

But these days with a lot of products they are being sold with the regular food and not in the gluten free section. |

You can pop amaranth, sorghum and I read recently that you can pop wild rice. Quinoa though is not a grain so it wouldn't pop. Yes, I know it is touted as an ancient grain but it is really a seed. http://vegetarian.about.com/od/gloss...atisquinoa.htm Okay, so I was wrong on that. You can pop it. http://glutenfreerosie.com/2014/05/1...akfast-recipe/ |

Koko, it's been a while, but I can say I followed the directions on the package. I believe
I commented at the time that it tasted like chicken feed smelled, a memory from my farm- based childhood. N. |
