French press coffee has a lot of cafestol and kahweol in it, they're what raises LDL but also have anti cancer effects.

When I did drink it, I liked the cheaper, weak stuff. Didn't matter to me if it was brewed or the stuff in the tea bag. That to me was better than instant. But instant would do in a pinch. I wasn't drinking coffee because I enjoyed it. I was drinking it only for the caffeine. |

I just use whatever I happen to have bought. What brand are you buying? He means that the default coffee brewing method is dripping through a paper filter, which lowers the amount of cafestol and kahweol that finds its way into your mug. The French press merely holds the grounds back with a wire mesh, and lets these compounds through. |

What I like about the machine is that when the brewing is over, the pump depressurizes the K-cup which results in no post-brew dripping. The bad part is that it will randomly brew a short cup sometimes. The important part is that it brews a great cup of coffee - every single time. > -- > From somewhere very deep in the heart of Texas |

If your trigs are under 100 the calculated LDL on your lab report is higher than it should be. The lower your trigs the more innacurate the LDL on the report is.

I have often wondered what the amazing appeal is for the coffee machines? My daughter bought me one because she was so impressed? I put it on the kitchen counter beside my old coffee brewer. I should have pushed back against my daughter insisting I have one when I found out you buy "pre-ground coffee portions" to load in this machine to make coffee. The people who use this machine have been deprived all their lives and have never enjoyed the exceptional taste and flavor of "freshly ground coffee." I even bought one of those adapters so I can put my own freshly ground coffee into the machine and that did produce an acceptable cup of coffee. I still find myself grinding the beans and making full pots of coffee I enjoy! William |
