Default The weather is against me!

I was all set to make a big pot of chili! Not the three bean kind but the
kind with kidney beans and meat. And some big pots of assorted soups. But
the weather doesn't want me to do this. We might hit the 90's next week.
We already broke the 1965 record for the most days over 80 here a few weeks
back and now this month we are about to break a record for hottest temp. So
I guess instead I will have to buy things to make pasta salad and such.
*sigh*

I'm making split pea soup in my crock pot at the moment and it's not
heating up the room.

Yeah but I'm over using the Crock-pots. I might change my mind one day and
I still like them for baked beans but other than that, I don't much like the
taste of the food cooked in it. And I don't like eating hot foods on hot
days.

doesn't making pasta create as much heat as chili, or do you just buy
already cooked pasta?
