I am planning mine now.
We actually have to do extended family early as some have other plans that day. But I am making the Easter pies and will leave one at home. Angela found a beautiful pie plate on clearance at Target. It's very deep and much like the one that my MIL made her main Easter pie in. Still need to find some foil pans for the others. Or at least a couple of cheap metal ones. This recipe gives me no clue how many pies it will make but it is several pounds of meats and cheeses. Assorted raw veggies, Fritos Scoops, black bean dip, French onion dip and Ranch dressing. Olives. Mixed nuts. Whole wheat Penne with Marinara, mac and cheese for those who won't eat red sauce. Apple slices, grapes and strawberries. 8 decorated cookies from Costco. They likely won't get eaten as we aren't big on sweets but they were Eastery and pretty. |
