I don't remember which thread I was on but the subject was different kinds of Ketchup and Not Ketchup was mentioned. I went to the website and was intrigued so I ordered the 3-Pack.
My order arrived today. So I stopped at the grocery I frequent and go some chicken strips and jo jo's to bring home for a taste test. These are billed as dipping sauces. So I used the chicken strips and jo jos as my dippers. There are three flavors. Smokey Date, Cherry Chipotle, and Blueberry White Pepper. I can report that they are all quite tasty. The date is the sweetest bit the smoke is very complimentary. The Cherry Chipotle is good but I would add a bit more heat, maybe a few drops of Tabasco or such. The Blueberry is very blueberry but the white pepper adds a lot. All would make great sauces for baked chicken. The chipotle would be great as a glaze for a pork tenderloin. And the blueberry would go really well with lamb chops. Right now I don't have a favorite. I think they are al very good, each in their own way.. They were spendy but they've given me ideas about making my own. Here's the site. http://www.notketchup.com/ All in all they have a good product and I hope they catch on. |
