I'm making chili tomorrow. No cumin. I don't have any cumin, and won't purchase any. Won't purchase any commercial chili powder either. Is chili still chili if it lacks cumin? How can you have a 'vegan' chili, when chili was invented with meat in mind. Etc. How do you define chili? Me, If it has beef and beans and is spicy, it's pretty much chili. My ingredients for tomorrow's chili:
Ground Beef TomPaste Diced onions Minced garlic Paprika Hot sauce Seeded Jalepenos Canned kidney beans; 28 oz. per pound of beef. Water That's it. Period. But is it chili? |
