So, I go down to Safeway to buy a 2lb pkg of their thick slice bacon
(which is really quite good) at an almost $5 discount. Yay. But,
upon getting home, I see from the receipt I've only gotten $3 off.
WTF? knowing how smarmy Safeway is about their notoriously deceptive
ads, I read the flyer again. Sure enough, the extra $2 discount is
with a "U", as in "just for U" discount thingie, of which I've never
heard of. So, go to their website and get telco support number and
call them. Sure enough, now they have extra discounts if you are
willing to officially register and provide a valid email address for
them to further intrude on and track your life. Not gonna happen.
