I did add more raw veggies to lower the carb count and didn't add any of the
cooked. Also used brown rice. Two of us think it is okay and the other one didn't like it. I just think it needs something but not sure what. I actually added more onion than was called for because it didn't seem like enough. I added a whole bunch of green onion. But it seems like it needs more. Perhaps a little more salt and perhaps a little more dressing. Although it is perfectly fine, it just doesn't seem to have an outstanding flavor. The veggies that I used were carrot, celery, red and yellow pepper, cucumber and of course the onion. I used kidney beans and the green onions because those are what one person prefers. I also used parsley and added a lot more of that than what was called for. And an oil and vinegar dressing. Perhaps I should have used cilantro? Or a mix of that and parsley? I just have to be careful with the herbs because there are so many that we can't eat. |
