a roasting laurel: useful kitchen gadget?
It's flexible and supposed to 'raise' the food being roasted for quicker cooking I guess. I saw it in Better Homes and of course it was touted as a must have. Hmmmph. About 25 dollars, I think. It was photographed in a roasting pan and had veggies on it. I bet a smart and frugal person can think of some sort of substitute.
