Ignoring the negative aspects of tobacco for a moment, there is one
hell of a difference between plain, unadulterated tobacco and the
additives added by the big brands:

And I can tell you from past experience that one is *way* more
addictive compared to the other. The last few years when I smoked, I
used 'black market' tobacco - cheap by the kilo, looked and smoked the
same, but no additives... I found it easy to quit when I tried (13
years ago now). No way could I quit with 'real' cigarettes.
