Speaking of odd behavior, my wife sold her mom's condo this week and was
there removing everything from the unit. She said she went through all
the rooms touching the light fixtures because it was the last remnants
of her parents in that place. She said it was the switches they touched
every day. She kissed her hand and then touched the switches.

I can still see in my mind the first time I opened the door to her house
and was greeted by her step-mother and she told me in her broken English
to "go away." Of course, I didn't pay her no mind. Lots of memories of
that place for me too.
