One of the cheapest treats here in my area is pork liver: after marinating
an hour or two with EVO oil, wine vinegar, salt and garlic it loses part of
its high sourness and becomes even better than veal liver, which has no
taste: 80 euro cents for 340 grams which became 8 nice eggwashed and breaded
cotolette. If I add up the price of an egg and the oil used to fry them the
sum may reach 1.20 euros, not more, and it fed two hungry persons.
